First held in 2013, the Melee Gala Event has quickly established itself as one of the most anticipated dates on any sports fans’ calendars. You may have attended live boxing events before, but you’ve never seen anything like this!
Making its home inside the luxurious Metropolitan Entertainment Centre, the Melee Gala Event is truly a one of a kind evening. Boxing fan or not, you are sure to be taken aback by the beautiful mix of black-tie atmosphere and world-class combat sport.
See some of the best boxers in Canada, and the world, go toe-to-toe right before your eyes as you enjoy a first class meal, professional lighting and video, full bar, prizes, and unparalleled boxing entertainment.
The Melee Gala is Manitoba's premier charity boxing event, which offers an outstanding night of live boxing entertainment while raising thousands of dollars for various local charities.
MELEE V
EVENT RECAP
United Boxing Club (UBC) continues to prove that it is much more than a boxing club. On September 7, 2017, UBC hosted the Melee V Gala Event at the Metropolitan Entertainment Centre, raising over $40,000 for its charity of choice – Variety, The Children's Charity.
Melee V was a total sell out and, as you will see, featured very exciting bouts from the UBC Corporate Challenge participants and from the national boxing teams (Team Canada and Team Mexico).
The Corporate Challenge participants dedicated 12 hard weeks of intense training in order to learn the art of boxing, get in shape and prepare for competition. Thank you to all of the Corporate Challenge participants, who collectively raised over $20,000 for the charity. The UBC

MELEE IV
Melee at the Met IV is in the books, and what an incredible event it was! The United Boxing Club Corporate Challenge group battled one another well and earned their champion belts.
Team Puerto Rico and Team Canada did not disappoint, and provided some absolutely spectacular boxing as our main feature.
Thank you to everyone who attended, organized, volunteered and fought at Melee at the Met IV. United Boxing Club was able to raise over $20,000 for the Victoria General Hospital Foundation “For Her Heart’s Sake”. Heart disease is the #1 killer in women over the age of 35, claiming more lives than all cancers combined. For Her Heart’s Sake has one goal: to engage, educate, empower women and others to stop heart disease from killing the women we love.
